Hi!

Welcome to the Keyman's Corner page of the Polka Club of Iowa's website. My name Is Tim Westemeyer, otherwise know as Keyman. If you want to know how I got that nickname, you will have to ask Karl's tuba player - Tony.

Keyman's Corner will feature my views on and about polka music in this part of Iowa. My friend Kathy and I attend a lot of dances around the Des Moines area; and we do get up to Wisconsin and Minnesota a few times in the summer. As we do this, I will write blogs and take pictures of the event to be posted here on Keyman's Corner. To see these pictures, all you need to do is go to the Dance Gigs link on the keybord above.

My main goal along with Kathy's help is to promote polka music and dance the best way we know how. We will patronize organizations that provide polka music and dance. We will help in any way to promote the dance or festival. I will continue with this web page to offer the outcome of our success in the promotion of polka music. Viewers can help by offering suggestions on how I can improve this site to better our objective.

I would like to thank the Polka Club of Iowa for letting me post my views and stories of our polka experiences. As time goes on I will continue to improve this portion of the site.
