Another great time was had down at the Hessen Haus Saturday night. Barry Boyce played some real good polka & waltzes. His tuba player KJ was at a wedding and could not be there. His fill in was Tuba Don from Malek's band. The band sounded great. We started off with a polka and got in a dance or two before dinner. After we ate we danced a few waltzes. Our own Recruiter Bob was at his best. He got another 7 more people to sign up to the polka club. My featured young couple is Malachi & Alex. I talked to them a little and they seemed pretty interested in learning to dance polka & waltzes. They are the couple in the top left corner and also to the center and right, Malachi dancing with Kathy and Alex dancing with Recruiter Bob. They said it looked like a lot of fun. I told them that it is fun and you get a lot of exercise. Hopefully they will get active in the club and participate in our dances and demo's. We also had the enjoyment of a bachlorette celebration. Lindsey's wedding party was having a great time listing to the music. They did get up to the chicken dance and danced a few songs toward the end. As you can see from the pictures above the Hessen Haus managers Kelly & Joel even got a dance in with Kelley dancing with Recruiter Bob and Joel dancing with Kathy. Our own Nelly turned up a few heads as she danced around the floor. I even got in a dance with her. We had about 10 members from the polka club there.
